Qatargas which pioneered the liquefied natural gas industry in Qatar is seeking for a Senior Network Specialist to implement and perform system administration and support activities relating to the company Network Services. The job involves planning and defining requirements, installation, configuration and administration of network services and related applications, which include network operating systems, shared network resources, Microsoft application servers, electronic messaging systems, Internet and Intranet, remote access services, network servers and workstations, virus control, data backup and restore, software and hardware upgrades, etc and provides training to new users. He must hold a Bachelor degree in information technology, information systems, or a related field, from an accredited institution and must have at least 5 years of hands-on gained experience in a similar role. Working knowledge of hardware and software used in most common IT platforms including Microsoft-based PC’s, servers, networks, and software. Good spoken and written English.
