Senior Accountant - Project Accounting - USAID

CyberCoders Accounting & Finance Specialists is looking for a great Senior Accountant with great experience in corporate accounting, finance and budgets.

They will assist in relocation for the right candidate to their office in Washington, DC.

What you need to be successful in this position: 

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business 
8+ years in corporate project accounting and/or finance and budgetary experience 
Currency exchange experience 
USAID cost experience required 

Preferred qualifications: 

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business 
CPA 
Bilingual or multilingual 

What you'll be doing: 

Prepare cost proposals and manage resulting contract and/or task order budgets from concept to completion 
Prepare and input contract and task order setup, project budgets, and sub agreements into Enterprise One system 
Provide coordination of the flow of contract data between internal offices and central accounting 
Setup and coordinate project accounting systems and, if necessary, train selected associates to perform necessary daily accounting functions in support of the project 
Project budget oversight, to include accounts receivable and payable, and general account management of multiple contract and contract task orders 
Ensure worldwide compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, and internal accounting policies and practices 
Collaborate with management to develop and implement project accounting policies, processes, and procedures to streamline efficiencies and ensure accuracy 
Work with all levels of leadership and develop and maintain strong business relationships with global finance and accounting peers and business operations 
Manage business unit budget and prepare related financial reports, account analysis, and reconciliation 
Execute regular and standardized closing activities and duties 
Respond to inquiries from management, peers, auditors, and other authorities regarding accounting issues, data in financial reports, and financial statements 
Possess the ability to travel internationally to job sites as needed (anticipated travel less than 25% annually)
