This position will involve the design and project management of systems that integrate into the overall communications infrastructure (both onshore & offshore), which includes all, but not limited to, the above mentioned systems. This position will be working with internal and external resources to ensure proper deployment and quality control is adhered to. Technical support for internal field technicians on trouble resolution will also be required.
Some of the manufactures utilized are Harris Farinon & NEC microwave, Coastcom channel banks, Lucent DDM2000 fiber mux, MDS and Motorola radios, Avaya S8700 VoIP PBX with Modular Messaging voicemail and Nortel phone systems, Tellabs & Zhone DACS, Cisco network equipment, Hughes & Spacenet satellite systems, Tandberg video conferencing and numerous other systems.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics or the equivalent accreditation in a related field. Should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the design and working knowledge of voice/data wireless systems, voice and data leased services, video conferencing systems, data network systems (routers, switches), PBX/Key systems, badge access - CCTV systems, satellite systems, licensed/unlicensed microwave systems, in addition to associated multiplexers and channel bank equipment. Knowledge of data networking concepts & VoIP is recommended. FCC and CCNA certifications are a plus.
